DESCRIPTION:
Standard Anti-Blok Ventricular Catheter-Reservoirs are designed with four axial channels at the tip with recessed rectangular molded holes. The channels promote free flow of CSF and discourage occlusion of the holes by debris, tissue, choroid plexus or ventricle walls. The reservoir may be tapped with a 25G or smaller Hueber-point needle for CSF sampling or injection of antibiotics or contrast media. .

A polyester reinforced base extends beyond the reservoir diameter to allow fixation sutures. A removable nylon plug allows conversion of the ventriculostomy reservoir to use as a shunt reservoir. The catheter-reservoirs are manufactured of barium impregnated, silicone elastomer tubing. A stainless steel stylet is provided.
