DESCRIPTION:
The Spiral-Port Ventricular Catheter is designed with holes positioned in a spiral pattern to promote free flow of CSF and discourage occlusion of the holes by debris, tissue, choroid plexus or ventricle walls. Vision catheters are manufactured of clear tubing with an encapsulated barium stripe which allows the physician to check for air bubbles

barium does not come into contact with CSF or tissue and therefore is not susceptable to complication associated with barium catheters. Standard catheters are manufactured of implant grade radiopaque silicone elastomer tubing. A stainless steel stylet is provided (not shown).
