COMPANY HISTORY:
VYGON whose name has become synonymous with quality and reliability in the field of single use medical and surgical products was established in 1962 in the region of France. Dramatic growth characterized VYGON's first year of operation a result of the company's founder's creative drive.

Company was established by Pierre Simonet who has always been a pioneer in his field and whose energy and drive became the hallmark of his new venture .This was followed by years of intense technical and industrial development under the leadership of Mr.Bertrand Cuny during which VYGON emerged as a powerful group .With his customary drive and energy he constantly sought to improve the Products and production methods of that time and he built a team of people who had the technical and practical skills to keep moving VYGON forward to develop and manufacture the products that doctors and surgeons would need in the future and keeping the mission of serving customers/surgeons with new products and therapies, VYGON Corp acquired Phoenix Biomedical Corp. with effect from 1st July 2003.

Phoenix Biomedical now operates as Phoenix U.S LLC -A VYGON company based in Pennsylvania U.S.A which is one of the leading manufacturers of Neurosurgical products and devices used in the treatment of Hydrocephalus. Phoenix Biomedical is a successor company to the company originally founded by John Holter the inventor of the first successful Hydrocephalus shunt system in 1956. Phoenix as VYGON Neuro now aims to continue the spirit of innovation and dedication to quality that is our heritage.
