DESCRIPTION:
McComb Neonatal Catheter-Reservoirs are designed with holes
positioned in a spiral pattern to discourage occlusion of the holes
by debris, tissue, choroid plexus or ventricle walls. The reservoir
may be tapped with a 25 G or smaller Hueber-point needle for CSF
sampling or injection of antibiotics or contrast media.

A polyester reinforced base extends beyond the reservoir
diameter to allow fixation sutures. A removable nylon plug allows
conversion of ventriculostomy reservoir for use as a shunt reservoir.
The McComb neonatal catheter reservoirs are manufactured of radiopaque
silicone elastomer tubing. A stainless steel stylet is provided.
