Fifth Ventricle Spiral-Port Ventricular Catheter is designed with holes positioned in a spiral pattern to promote free flow of CSF and discourage occlusion of the holes by debris, tissue, choroid plexus or ventricle walls. Each catheter kit consists of a clear silicone elastomer ventricular catheter with an

encapsulated barium impregnated stripe, for externaldrainage, a stainless steel stylet, a polycarbonate male luer connector and a subgaleal trocar. The 23.5 cm catheters have radiopaque placement markings at 5, 10, 15 and 20 cm from the proximal tip, with a suture tab at 17 cm.
